Monica Segovia, LCSWA

Outpatient Therapist in
Concord Office

Hi, I’m Monica Segovia-Hernandez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and bilingual clinician who is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for clients of all ages. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward meaningful change at their own pace.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of life experiences, including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, family concerns, and relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for supporting children and families and helping clients build healthy coping skills, strengthen communication, and better understand themselves and their relationships.

As a bilingual clinician, I am passionate about providing culturally responsive care to both English- and Spanish-speaking individuals and families. My background in social work has given me experience working with diverse populations and connecting individuals and families with resources and support. I recognize the importance of considering each person’s culture, family, environment, and lived experiences when providing care.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, provide support and guidance, and help you identify the tools and strengths you already have. Whether you are working through a difficult season, navigating a major transition, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself without judgment.

A little about me: I’m a North Carolina native and a proud social worker who values family, community, and connection. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, going to the gym, and finding time for self-care. I also enjoy connecting with my Latinx roots and community.

I believe that asking for support is a sign of strength, and that growth looks different for everyone. We can take it one step at a time, together.
