Hi, I’m Mariah Henry, a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and a counseling intern with RCC Access. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth.

I take a warm, collaborative approach to counseling, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, make meaning of their stories, and build practical tools for resilience and healing.

I am a North Carolina native, a proud veteran, and a graduate of North Greenville University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry. My faith background and military experience have shaped my deep respect for perseverance, identity, and the healing process, especially for individuals and families impacted by stress, trauma, and major life changes. When it is the client’s desire, I am open to integrating faith and biblical principles into counseling as part of a client-centered, evidence-based approach. I value meeting clients where they are and honoring their values, beliefs, and personal journey.

Outside of counseling, I am a devoted mother, and my daughter continually reminds me of the importance of connection, growth, and hope. I also have a lifelong love for music and art, which fuels my creativity and reinforces my belief in the power of expression and meaning-making.
