Unika Boyce-Cooley, LCSWA

Outpatient Therapist in South Park

Works with kids and adolescents, and
individuals 18+

Hello, my name is Unika Boyce-Cooley. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina. I earned both my Master of Social Work and Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and hold a Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Mental Health. My clinical experience spans working with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse backgrounds, and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, chronic stress, trauma, life transitions, and identity-related concerns.

I am especially passionate about working with parents and caregivers, those impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals managing chronic health conditions or relationship challenges. I also have experience supporting children and families through attachment disruptions and developmental concerns.

My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients feel seen and empowered to grow. Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in trust, authenticity, and respect. I incorporate evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. I may also incorporate expressive activities and psychoeducation to build emotional awareness, develop coping skills, and enhance communication strategies.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from various modalities including strengths-based, attachment-focused, solution-focused, and relational frameworks. Every individual has the capacity for growth and healing, and together we will co-create goals that reflect your unique experiences and hopes for the future.
