Carym Casas, LCMHCA
Outpatient Therapist in Virtual Office
My name is Carym Arbulu Casas. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina who received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University.
I work with individuals and families with ages ranging from children to adults. I also hold a special interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and ADHD as well as providing skills and support to parents and working with families through familial issues.
I use a child/person centered approach and foundation to support clients in finding root causes for their behaviors and empowering them in choosing a path towards self-healing and self-actualization. I believe wholeheartedly that therapy should fit the individual, so I adjust my approach to each one of my clients, putting their needs at the forefront of sessions and focusing on building trust and emphasizing my client’s uniqueness, creativity and self-expression in the therapeutic space.
I am a clinician who believes in embracing everything about ourselves to promote change, as a self-proclaimed ‘nerd’ and lover of videogames and tv shows, so I hope to help my clients do the same.
Specialty Areas: Self-Esteem, ADHD, Anxiety , Parenting skills, Stress Management, Life/Transitions
