Nicole Hunter, Clinical Intern

Clinical Intern
Steele Creek

Hello! My name is Nicole. I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern attending Capella University. I am passionate about enhancing the lives of people from all walks of life and believe we all have the power to co-create and live the life we desire.

I am trained in EFT and my focus is on effective communication and achieving a solid understanding of others through care and empathy. I believe that creating a safe environment for my clients inspires growth and connection.

Distress in any family or relationship can be best identified as feeling unseen, unheard, distant, or unappreciated. I believe that if we can recognize the negative cycles and behavior patterns in our relationships, it puts us in a place where we can make sense of hurtful patterns of interaction and begin to heal our relationships with one another.

My background and experience includes working with soldiers of The Wounded Warriors Program and with families of children with disabilities. My experience working with military families has provided me with insight of life stressors and its impact on couples and their families. I desire to help families reconnect and build stronger and more supportive relationships.
