Meghan Doorty, Clinical Intern

Clinical Intern
Pineville Office

Hey there! My name is Meghan Doorty and I am a graduate student at Winthrop University. I have worked as a music teacher for six years before transitioning to getting my masters in clinical mental health counseling. My reasons for teaching were always rooted in helping others find and build confidence. As a counselor, I want to continue helping others build their self-esteem and assist clients in navigating personal challenges to achieve emotional wellness.

I have training in ACT, CBT, and IFS therapy models as well as others and use an integrative method that is tailored to each individual client to meet their needs. I have experience working with relationship issues, attachment theory, self-esteem building, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief/loss, sexual abuse, work stress, coping skills, LGBTQ+, life transitions, and more.

As a student and intern, I look forward to applying the things I am actively learning. What you can expect when working with me is a positive and welcoming environment where you feel safe to be your true self. I look forward to hearing your story and playing a role in your journey.
